You can easily predict the state of any country. By looking at their historical medal count. A society in decline will have fewer medals and society on the rise will have more medals. I will add the final medal count for the 2012 Olympics when they are finished. The USA medal count is deceptive as many athletes who compete for their natural countries were trained in the Colleges within the USA.
Thus, Can be seen as an argument for the preservation of the USA. With the USA as a viable and stable country. Everybody becomes a better.
