The word alone is not a negative word or an undesired word in both of these quotes.  A person who is self empowered and self led doesn't need anyone to hold their hand or to lead the way. Their path is already chosen in their self described journey. They will not even to need to ask directions. They automatically know exactly what must be done and how to do accomplish all of those necessary tasks.
Do not wait or become helpless into thinking and believing that you can do nothing without any assistance. But, do not become so egotistical and prideful to not ask for assistance when it is justified.

The spirit will lead the willing where ever it may. The willing human spirit, the willing human mind and the willing human heart which is open to the gentlest of impressions follows those silent urgings without negative questions or whining complaints.
Every so often two or more Faithful human spirits paths will cross in their journeys. Just like two long lost brothers or sisters who haven't seen each other in a great while. Immediately know one another and expresses great love to the other. Each again may become temporarily saddened when the time comes that their own unique journey separates. Each both knowing that they will know each other in the better spiritual life to come.

The people who make up a pleasant work place are those who seem to want to be there and actually show up early to make unnecessary preparations, which creates a welcoming environment. Who want to always to the best job they can and enjoy doing so. Who are polite in the course of their day and want to be. Who always answers the call for assistance when there is a problem and is satisfied when the thing is all good to go.
This is a pleasant work place.

The ugly work place and space is where management always has to watch those dark hiding places where people like to get away. The management has to offer training on how to be nice under the guise of customer service. The break room becomes a disaster area. The employee conversation seems to joke about customer stupidity and meanness. The outside smoking area with butt containers. Still needs to be cleaned up. The employees do not seem to care about other employees and refuse to go out and help others when there is a need.  The back stabbing. The importance of social communication when work duties are needed to be completed. Not focused on the job is evidence that the job is of no importance.

If you have to train people to care. Then you are hiring people who do not care and will not care. Because, most people know how to spot a phony smile.
The mean customer is a reflection of your employees apathy.
An employee who is only there for the paycheck. is not concerned about the company, the customer or you.
An employee who only does the absolute minimum to keep their job. Is not concerned with your bottom line, Profit/Loss ratios or even thefts.
Just listen to your employees when they are unaware of your presence. From their words you will know the effectiveness of your management team and Human Resources Department.

Care Pay: (Unedited): 14 June 2013:

Individual apathy will win out in each persons own reasoning. During a time of extreme emergency an apathetic person will make selfish decisions which will benefit them the most.  C.J.MacKechnie

It matters not their training in helping others. The apathetic person will use all of that training for themselves and forget about the innocent who needs the most dire of assistance. C.J.MacKechnie

A large percentage of Emergency management personnel are paid to care. When their pay stops. They will depart/disappear. C.J.MacKechnie

The emergency management managing persons. Must first ensure that those families who are of interest to your people on the ground are moved to safe zones ahead of the event or events.

This includes those who are affiliated with law enforcement, fire rescue, medical professions, National Guard, Military, emergency management personnel and etc.

When a law enforcement person is unable to get ammunition and or other supplies in a time of low stress. When the stress comes. That law enforcement officer will use the supplies he has to ensure the safety of those he/she cares about. Which is reasonable.

When an emergency is localized and non-overwhelming to the persons senses. Those emergency management persons will revert to their training. But, When a thing happens which is beyond the scope of possibility of/in their training. All of that training may breakdown into a simple need to save themselves or to save only those they care about. 
The safety of all family members within the entire emergency management community must be relocated to designated safe zones. This preparation must be practiced and implemented.  A general level of personal secrecy, will aid in their safe transportation to those pee-designated safe zones. All persons must be pre-approved.  
By implementing this plan. Desertion and abandonment rates will go down dramatically. Thus, saving innocent lives throughout the entire emergency event or events.

You cannot make people care when they do not. Not even the laws of GOD makes people to love one another. So, making human laws which criminalize desertion and abandonment. Will only cause the apathetic person stress after they have been caught.

Those persons who always asks or demands, help or assistance. While not doing anything for themselves is an outward spiritual attack upon you the heroic. C.J.MacKechnie

This is not a message against those who are the genuinely disabled and who will always be unable to do certain things. There are those who are born who will always need assistance and friendship from a person who has the means. The assistance and friendship should not be separate from one another. 

This is directly a message for those who seem to be able to beg for money while being capable standing all day on a street corner in the hot sun. (I'm not able to do that). Or any other person who does nothing for themselves and yet expects you and anyone else to help them over and over. This is their con over you. Using guilt and other negative emotions to motivate you to decide to choose to do a thing which benefits them.
