A new type of Naval warship will take to the seas. The post WW2 theory that the Battleships usefulness is in error. Almost as long as an American Aircraft Carrier. Nuclear powered. New engines and capabilities. Duties as perimeter security in fleet operations as well as wolf packs.
One battleship can penetrate into the heart of any Aircraft Carrier Battle Group and end it. Independent targeting ability at speed.

3 to 4 rows of Cruise missile launchers. With automated loading and reloading systems. 400 Launch tubes??? 3000 cruise missiles at the ready. ??? How many Nuclear tipped???

The electric water jet engines are easily removed for replacement and upgrades. The rear of the ship extends out wide for an additional two more engines. Each engine has its own trust steering nozzle. Multiple pathways for steering controls and isolation's in case of damage.
Each EM gun systems is self contained and heavily armored. So if a EM gun gets damaged or destroyed. It does not affect the others nor risk spreading fires or flooding water.
All systems have independent isolation to prevent the spread of damage.
The command war center is deep inside mid ship. The non battlestations command center is open and glassed.
It will not be common for men and women to be outside. Won't be safe.
The EM Guns power systems with have a 3 tiered system. In other words. The guns can fire 3-6 rounds fast. Then wait for Recharge. The next generation inductor/capacitor combination decreases recharge time. Increases ships weight and slows down top speed. Until the new engines are created. The hull should be engineered for 100+ knots.
What happens to the weapons when used at 100+ Knots? Including Torpedoes?
The bow and whole ship is designed to survive ramming. If it can't free itself from the rammed ship. It may go down with it. But, it still survives. Sort of? or is that mostly, when raised?
Most of the ships contents will be off the shelf.
Is this a new American warship or a new Israeli Naval ship in the next 20-40 years?

Is this the ship in my vision? Kind of weird since it has been in existence since around 1980. Seems older version. Something newer comes soon. Guess I'm kind of late. I think some of my interpretations of the vision is incorrect. Just my best guesses. Since I'm not a naval war expert by any means. I've never even been out further than 10 miles out into the Gulf of Mexico. I did not know of the battle-cruisers of Russia until about a month ago.

There is current news of the Kirov. Which when these 4 Ships complete modernization. They together will become the four most power naval surface ships of the world. With most of the capabilities listed above in my vision. When these four ships surround two or more aircraft carrier battle groups joined together. The survivability of the protected battle group is heightened.

This new Battleship will also have with it. A dedicated satellite. Which will grow into several satellite systems for varying design purposes.
The spy satellite, This satellite will gather all sorts of intelligence.

Just as WW2 saw the emergence of the Aircraft carrier so to when and if WW3 begins. The country who can place weapons systems into orbit. Will command any theater of warfare.

Intelligent target acquisition for efficient elimination of any perceived threats. This means when hundreds of attacks are coming onto one side of the ship. The defensive targeting computer will ascertain the greatest threat as well as selecting the best weapon for threat elimination. So a weapon can be selected to fire upon a lesser threat simply because of weapon orientation and efficiency.
This particular vision entails an attack by hundreds of planes as well as their individual missiles. The insane commander simply defends the first attacking strike. Then he attacks. He wins as fire erupts from all weapons platforms. The battle has ended twice. The first wall of fire and smoke is defensive and the second wall of fire and smoke is offensive. The most efficient method for the commander was to do both defend and attack simultaneously. Which is a capability. His action was more of a statement.
During weapon exhaustion. The commander will need to keep the ship oriented so that the weapons systems which need to be replenished/repaired can be in relative safety to his crews.

Added on 07 Feb 2015: Naval Railgun vision:
The EM Rail Gun needs to have an effective speed greater than mach 10. Faster the better. In the public news it has been stated that the newest US Navy rail gun has achieved mach 6. This speed should only be minimally acceptable. Especially, if that is the best you can do. The US navy wants a launching capability of about 20 rounds per minute. Greater rounds per minute can be achieved in other very heavy additions.
I think the addition of heavy weight can be eliminated if each rail gun had it's own dedicated nuclear power source. With always on power generation. There should be no need for storage systems. Which are incredibly heavy and take up huge amounts of space.
Back to mach 6 EM Rail Gun. This speed is way to low. The US Navy really needs to deny any one from getting within 100+ miles of a standing fleet. Mach 10 plus is really mandatory.

Staggered tri-mount system.
1). The top left or top right Rail gun is longer than the other top mounted Rail-gun tube. The single bottom tube appears longer than the other three tubes. All three weapons tubes are equal in actual length. All three tubes are enclosed within a triangular box. The triangular box is the primary stabilizing support for the weapons tubes. Looks odd but appears to be better defend-able than having a portion of the Rail gun mechanism above the ships deck. The top flat surface of the rail gun box lays flat on to the surface deck of the ship. I don't really care what the business end looks like if it is potent.
2). All three guns form a close quarter joining together into a triangle. All three weapons tubes appear to be equal in length. The triangular boxing seeps to be smaller in comparison to the above staggered system. In the shape of a circular sphere is the housing mechanism for the rail guns. It sticks up above the decking. From within this circular sphere is all three rail gun mechanisms.
3). There should be an auto-loading system for the projectiles. Unknown. Did not see any.
4). There should also be a caliber downsizing. Only saw one.

A standard thinking EM Rail Gun Battleship. May consist of 4 primary EM Rail Gun weapons systems. Each with its own primary nuclear power source. 8 medium sized EM Rail Gun weapons systems. Plus the addition of a variety of standard defensive/offensive weapons platforms.
In the modern world. You really have to think and act dimension-ally. You have to be able to track a variety of threats in real time and target launch each threat in accordance to threat levels. You have to do so very quickly and accurately.
The new modern day battleship needs to be able to track orbital assets and target them in accordance to threat assessment. Because, There is an evolution to all things in warfare. Everyone knows this. The next emerging threat environment is sub-orbital. This is the aircraft carrier theory of pre-WW2. So in order to promote any naval ship longevity. They each must be able to track, target and launch weapons against any sub-orbital threat. Space is a really big place and so to are the orbits around this planet Earth. The orbits of the Earth will be the place for new military assets. Access and denial of orbit is going to be tantamount in any future warfare success/victory.

President Abe is the warrior. I think the big question is who will build the ships in my vision and in this vision do I really describe a new class of war ships with offensive capabilities as not seen before. Sometimes my visions are blurry not because of some defect within my capabilities but because the visions can be layered. Meaning not only have I seen the new great Battleships, but also destroyers and cruisers. All at once. What if a new generation of landing craft has also been created. Where the tanks or armor are placed within the ship so to offer their own networked fire power solutions. So how many ships are in this one vision? Ask the question about these floating targets which has very minimal defense or zero offensive capabilities? Which in a new modern war. Your assets go to the bottom, without ever firing a shot.
Anyway back to the warrior President Abe. He is wanting to build his military and is now legally able to put forth a military. Just like every other nation. Japan needs a stand off weapon against China's Island aircraft carriers. Japan could build their own Island helicopter Aircraft Carriers. I have a whole set of visions for those as well. Which would greatly limit China, North Korea and Russia. I have had many visions in regards to Japan the Island. I see it with no people. I've researched others who have spoken prophetically as well as those who claims the space aliens say it will be OK in Japan. Yea. I do not see it. I see the whole of the Japanese people. Leaving their Island and building great city sized domes. I only want for peace and no one building any weapons of any kind. No matter how small the apparent probability is at this time.
Back to President Abe. I think he no longer has the freedom to choose peace. Just as every other world leader no longer can choose peace. It matters not who is holding office or not. Every nation is actively preparing for war. All of them who are capable. Go and research it for yourself. Then go and research how many nations are active in a war situation? Then look to see how small their military capabilities are and their ability to project sustained power for a long time. Most cannot as the civilian populations in each western country does not have the will to do so.
Can Japan be the ones who build these advanced ships. All with their own dedicated satellite warfare system. They do have the technical know how and the ability to build warships. The only big question is the man power or person power. Will Japan survive their negative growth rates? Will Japan citizens become as they were during WW2? or at the very least similar to Israel population. Where every person must serve in the military. Even the USA is talking women to be drafted.
What does Japan need for their Navy? I have stated this in other places in regards to Israel.
Japan can acquire the retiring fleets of American ships and boats. No more stated on this. While at the same time building these new warships. Japan Helicopter Aircraft Carriers. To be used with the current prototype Sikorsky S-97 Raider concept. I have seen in a vision. Flights of helicopters leaving one of the soon to be built islands. The launching of numerous Long Range Air defense missiles which can be re-assigned targets in flight. The launching of numerous cruise missiles which seem to scatter in their own perspective packs. While at the same time flights of fighters and bombers follow their assigned cruise missiles to target locations.
On each of the Islands. I see continuous above ground hardened buildings. Within each oddly shaped building. Has dedicated launching containers for a variety of missiles. The most prevalent and easily seen system is the CWS phalanx systems. Except it had a different appearance. Maybe additional radar wavelength, missile battery capabilities or in their placement. These units surrounded each facility in a overlapping 360 degree field. Areas of thought were shore protection, anti ship defense, helicopter defense and incoming missile threats. Each Island can have as many as 50-100 units. Nothing will get close.
I also see a dozen phased array radars. Plus numerous other radar systems per island. Then all of this data overlay-ed into one usable sourced information display. A complete outer engagement bubble of 200Km @ 360 degrees.
For instance. If one radar frequency can ?see? a questionable target. The other radar systems can be assigned to target the questionable moving target. The flood of radar energy into that particular space may cause damage to the object or just cook the hapless birds. Either way possible end of unknown problem. So much for bird stealth.
I also have seen in a cross pattern extending out from the central main building. These are long buildings. Which contain the new naval advanced gun systems. I could see maybe a dozen pods on top. For a total number of 36.
I see blurry places all around also. These may be Ballistic/rocket launch denial/defense. Lasers and/or Rail guns. Multiple Power generation. Offensive anti-satellite weapons systems.
The biggest weakness is in the networked radar systems. If they are disabled then the whole system is offline. How many small islands are there? I see at least 25.
If Japan can militarize these islands. This will change everything in the region. All Japan will have to do is solve their baby making problems.
I hope Japan does not build up their military and that China puts hotels and condos on those new beach resort islands.

Type 022 Missile Boats displace 224 tons and is almost 140 feet long. 83 are in service since build began in 2004. This can carry 8 anti ship short range cruise missiles with a range of 124 miles. That is a total of
664 small anti ship missiles.
New Chinese Type 056A Corvettes displace 1500 tons and is 295 feet long. This is a modern day new definition of the size, capacity and capability of a corvette. 41 in service. 9 being built and 60 planned. This corvette has 4 cells for anti ship missiles and 8 cells for SAM. That makes a total of 12 missile cells in a corvette. That is a total of
720 missiles for the entire Chinese Corvette fleet when completed.
The old chinese Type 053H3 Frigates displace 2250 tons and is almost 368 feet long. 14 were built between 1996-2005. This older Frigate which is still in use has 16 missile cells. Half of those missiles is for air defense. That makes a total of
224 missiles or 112 anti ship missiles.
The new Chinese Type 054A Frigates displace 4,053 tonnes and is 440 feet long. 28 are in service since build began in 2008. This Frigate has 40 missile cells. That makes a total of
1,120 missiles.
The Chinese Type 052B Destroyer displace 6,500 tons and is almost 509 feet long. Only 2 are in service since building began in 2004. This Destroyer has 16 anti ship missiles and 48 SAM's. For a total of
32 anti ship missiles and 96 SAM's.
The Chinese Type 051C Destroyer displace 7100 tons and is almost 509 feet long. Only 2 are in service since building began on 2006. This Destroyer has 8 anti ship missiles and 48 SAM's. For a total of
16 Anti ship missiles and 96 SAM's.
The Chinese Type 052C Destroyer displace 7,000 and is about 510 feet long. 6 are in service since building in 2002. This Destroyer has 16 Anti ship missiles and 48 SAM's. For a total of

The new Russian Corvette Project 21631 displaces 949 tons and is 246 feet long. 10 in service. 5 being built and 15 planned. This heavily armed Corvette has 8 missile cells and is capable of attacking ground targets or ships up to 1000 miles away. That is a total of
120 missiles just for this Russian Corvette 21631 fleet.
The new Russian Corvette Project 20382 displaces 2200 tons and is 343 feet long. 6 in service. 1 launched. 6 being built and 24 planned. They each have 12 VLS cells. That is a total of
288 missiles just for this Russian Corvette 20382 fleet.
The new Russian Frigate Project 22350 displaces 5,400 tons and is 443 feet long. 1 in service. 2 completed. 2 being built and 15 planned. They each have 48 VLS missile cells. That is a total of

The old Russian Destroyer Project 1155 displaces 7570 tons and is 535 feet long. With only 9 active. They each have a variety of missile cell capabilities. They have the older generation of Vertical cells primarily for air defense. Because this is old even the new Russian Corvettes are more capable than this destroyer on paper. How do you assign a threat designation. This is not a helpless warship unlike the American LCS appears to be. Russia could tie down a mobile ballistic missile launcher on the flight deck like the Americans want to do with the LCS and other amphibs. Each Destroyer has 64 missile cells. That is a total of
576 missiles for this old Destroyer 1155 fleet.
The old Russian Slava Class Cruiser displaces 12,500 tons and is 612 feet long. Only 3 active. This is the same predicament as the old Russian 1155 Destroyer. Each Cruiser has 80 missile cells. That is
240 missiles for this old Cruiser fleet.
The old Russian Kirov Class nuclear powered Battlecruiser displaces 28,000 tons and is a whooping 827 feet long. Only 1 active and 1 undergoing very problematic and very expensive refit/modernization. Enduring much delays on the refit. This Battlecruiser has 346 antiquated missile cells. This was the one biggest threat to an American Aircraft Carrier battle group back in the day. 5 were planned. 4 completed. 2 rotted to death. 1 cancelled. 1 active and 1 under refit. I'm counting all missiles on this ship. That is a total of
692 missiles on this old and mighty Battlecruiser.
The Russian surface navy has on hand anywhere from
1128 modern missiles to
2,636 old missile cells.
Russia is a work in progress. But, their numbers suggest a purely defensive fleet at this time. The Russian Corvettes can sink most or all surface ships in the American fleet. The American LCS fleet would be useless against the Russian or Chinese fleet classes. Even the antiquated cold war ones. The Russian Navy can be easily overwhelmed by either China and the USA. On the other hand the Russian Navy in order to be a valid threat. Will need to equal China and the USA in modern missile counts. Russia does not have it. Russia does not build enough of any class to be anything more than a nuisance. The real valid threat is China.

LCS: 15 Freedom Class ships to be built and 19 Independence Class ships to be built of Littoral warships. These ships are designed to abandon ship if they take one hit. It has been highly suggested that these ships can be holed by a single Russian made RPG. Of these 34 ships Zero will have any missile cells for a grand LCS fleet total of
ZERO missile cells.
Zero Frigates means
zero missile cells.
Zumwalt Class Destroyer. This new modern war ship was to be the replacement of the Burke class Destroyer. But, they were cancelled as the ship is very problematic and to fire it's main guns is far too expensive to use. The tumblehome hull design is said to be too unstable as well. There will be a total of 3 Zumwalts built. It is uncertain if they can reliably function for any period of time without breaking down and going back into dry dock for extended periods of time. 240 Modern missile cells. Maybe these ships can be active and networked in dry dock and be used as both an offensive and defensive land based anti ballistic missile system.
The American Navy has 66 active Burke Destroyers. These are old cold war designs and are modernized and upgraded. 28 Flight 1 and 2 with 90 missile cells each for a fleet total of
2,520 missiles. The flight 1's can be 27.5 years old. 38 Flight 2A's with 96 missiles cells each for a fleet total of
3,648 missiles. The Burke Destroyer fleet has
6,168 missiles available. Historically each Burke class ship is retired at 30 years old. Flight 2A's are still being built today and in the near future.
The American Navy has 22 Cruisers. These are old cold war designs. The Ticonderoga has 122 Missile cells each for a fleet total of
2,684 missile cells. The oldest Cruisers in active service are more than 32 years old with a life of 35 years. The newest of the ships are almost 27 years old. The entire ship class was based on an expanded cold war Burke Destroyer. So Ticonderoga Cruiser upgradeability is very limited.
The total missile count for the US Navy is
9,092 surface ship missiles available. Remember you must have 3-5 to 1 odds in order to be considered offensive militarily. That is old school numbers. Technology can multiply your force. With the Chinese and Russian naval forces together. Along with the new modernized warships of China and Russia. The USA may be at a disadvantage especially if the new DEW (Directed Energy Weapons) are now fully fielded. If China and Russia can spoof, degrade and shutdown all systems on the American and NATO's fleets. Then both China and Russia do not need to sink any ships as they will be available for capture. Assuming the navy does not already have a plan in place to prevent capture by submarine strikes against their own temporarily disabled ships or by detonating a tactical nuke which is already onboard each or just the carrier's ship. If the new DEW's work as suggested. Then every missile fired at either Russia or China. Will also be degraded or shut down. This also would include every nuclear tipped MIRV'ed ballistic missile fired by USA and NATO. Those missiles and rockets will also be degraded or shutdown in flight. So the entire American military force may be at a distinct disadvantage. Especially, since all of this DEW stuff is still very classified. DEW is not only LASER's it also includes all of the frequency spectrum.

Added on 17 Jan 2019: I loved working for Walmart back in the days of Sam Walton. Then I got married and had babies. I had to leave the best job in the whole world. I read all of the two Sam Walton books. Something I learned which I think can be applied to the US Navy. Sam Walton would listen to the cash registers and fly over the parking lot and count cars. Mr. Walton saw the relationship as associated to a profitable business. Sam Walton also exercised mercy and compassion to his employees whom he called associates. Now at Walmart people are just employees waiting to accrue enough points to get fired. Anyway, I had a revelation about surface warships and counting missile cells. Missile cells today is like pre-revelation of the Aircraft Carrier and her planes. The admirals and those who count beans must also count the number of missile cells. Just as an Aircraft must also count their planes. Every aircraft carrier must have a full complement of planes which can be easily repaired on the aircraft carrier. You should not be moving planes from one carrier to the next because you do not have enough functional planes. The missile cell count is also more important than counting surface ships. The LCS should not be counted as a warship(hurt feelings). Unless you dry dock each LCS and build into each one at least a block of 16-40 missile cells. The number of missile cells should be closer to the 40 number than to16. What is LCS 34X40 Cells? (Hint 1,360).
The development of new missile cells are in order along with (ER)Extended Range missiles. Your fleet wide missiles must exceed 1000+ miles and achieve much greater altitudes. This is a must for the LCS. Since the LCS was engineered to be a one hit ship and then abandon ship. Since the LCS cannot be used in the Littorals because some bad guy can hole the LCS with an RPG. So in order to still use the 34 ships of the LCS. Then they all must have extended range missile cells. Then the LCS can be your first to launch ship in a shoot and scoot fashion. Thus saving other more formidable surface ships ammunition. Instead of counting ships. You should be counting missile cells. Missile cells which contain nuclear missile ordinances. Yes, Sam Walton did count his stores. But he did count cars as well and he listened to the singing of cash registers. So do you as an admiral or bean counter. Should know the importance of the small things. Just as this lowly janitor does and has learned.
Guns on a ship are still important. Except now automated guns with a variety of sensors are a must. As you do not want any of your men and women outside during actual fighting. Drone clouds are coming and they will cause much attrition damage to your ships. To the degree where your ships will be unable to fight. So you need more guns and bullets. Why? Bullets are easier, faster and cheaper than missiles which can only hit one target at a time and you can have more bullets than missiles. So the development of a CIWS Phalanx Jr. type system is a must. This new CIWS Phalanx Jr. should be able to target not only drones but ships as well and also be able to just lay lead in the incoming path of large anti ship missiles or planes. Especially that crazy Russian Corkscrew missile. I think that Russian missile was made on purpose because the Russians know the mechanics of the CIWS Phalanx cannot keep up. These systems should all be networked.
Before you approve the next generation Frigate. You really need the Missile cell count to exceed 40 on a frigate. You really need to add in more guns as already indicated. You need to match the new Chinese frigates as listed above. Then you must build four Frigates per aircraft carrier. You have 20 aircraft carriers. Which equals to eighty Frigates to be built. Yes, you should still call them Frigates even if they are near in size to the cold war destroyers. If you do not. Then your worse than a follower. Your just mindlessly behind. Leaders lead in everything including make the new definitions to classes.

Just by missile count alone. Western Europe is a very defensive region of the world. Just because the Western European navies have older missile launching setups does not mean they are also not to be considered a defensive threat. Missile cells counts also include older missile cells which were only used for either air defense or anti ship missiles. Do your own due diligence. I do make errors. My VLS missile counts are intended to be very generalized. Just from the missile cell counts. It is easy to see which nation is the biggest naval threat and who is emerging as a naval threat. The US Navy is the old guard with the old naval ships. China is the emerging nation with their new modernized surface ships and submarines. Russia is just rebuilding from scratch with very capable corvettes and frigates. Soon Russia will begin building their brand new Lider Destroyer with 64 universal missile cells, 56 airdefense cells and 16 medium distance airdefense cells. For a grand total of 136 missile cells per Lider Destroyer. Russia would need to build equivalent in numbers to the American destroyers. To be seen as a very real threat. If Russia can build a warship of that size. The Lider being a shorter ship than the Kirov. The Lider will carry far more destructive weapons than the Kirov. Why is Russia spending the money on the Kirovs? It is easy to see the differences between this new era of ship definitions, classes, capacities, capabilities and those which are from the cold war.

Historically, Russian and Chinese hardware were not of the reliable quality or had the technological edge. Which is why the red team built so many. Just to counter the Americans and NATO. Today, the reliability issues and the lacking in the technological edge for the red team seems to be very equalized. The red team seems nearly matched to the cold war navy of the US Navy. The American Naval fleet seems to be at a distinct disadvantage. The United States no longer has the money to fund the military. Think about this. Who are we gonna get the money from? China? When China sees that we are rebuilding our military with their hard earned money. Doesn't seem logical to this janitor. But, then again, China is building all of their brand new military with monies from the American and European civilians who currently prefer to buy "Made in China". How is this? The American civilians and European civilians love the Chinese. Chinese restaurants are everywhere. Completely filled with workers who can barely speak english and yet more people in China speak very educated english than their are Americans in the USA. Go figure. Tangent. Except maybe here in Florida where chinese food in Chinese restaurants are made by illegal latinos/hispanics. Yea, really.
The US Navy in order to counter the Chinese threat will need to go back to their old school military ratios of warfare or is that in the game of Risk. Tangent deleted.
The US Navy/Military must rethink even the definitions of all things modern. Repeating myself. The US Navy/Military must acquire 5 to 1 missile ratios. But, they need to be able to replenish quickly. The US Military must be able to counter and not absorb incoming threats. The US Military is at a disadvantage in this regard as the Chinese can absorb the losses in the millions of fighting men. Where as the Americans and Europeans cannot. Even the Russians cannot absorb any losses. I think this is a possible how and why the prophecy of China invading Russia. The US Navy should place into dry dock a recently retired Aircraft carrier and refuel it and modernize it. Under the full length of the flight deck along the entire perimeter self contained universal Mk 57 and MK 41 missile cells should be installed. So how can a VLS be a VLS if it is angled? Missiles must exceed 1,000 miles range. Every square inch of space is already used and called for. This should be done *ASAP so as long as all of the math pans out in the engineering phase. I've already written this elsewhere. The short range CIWS Phalanx guns and missiles must be more than quadrupled each on each side of the ship. A new CIWS Phalanx Jr. must also be developed for the future of drones and small boats. The CIWS Phalanx must become much more mechanically faster.
A firing order of missiles should be outlined. Those ships which are out on the periphery should fire their missiles first. The periphery drones should also fire their missiles. The more hardy of ships in their ring around the aircraft carrier should fire second and then the center or aircraft carrier fires their 500+ missiles. There should also be a ring(s) of armed defensive drones around each classes of ships. These all should be networked into the Aegis. Even the missiles themselves. The missiles should be guided as well as have an internal homing function as the missile gets closer it will encounter excessive EM Countermeasures.

Note: *ASAP. Monies can be saved by not giving any more monies to those who have a history of abuse. I do have a better idea. How about a towed ship. One that is towed just behind the turbulence of the wake. Not a barge. A towed ship which will get on top of the water. Each with 160+ for aircraft carriers, 80 VLS missile cells for the Cruisers and 40 VLS missile cells for the destroyers and Frigates. Make space to add future drone tech and or human tech. Make space for engines. Make space for RADAR and sensors.
It is not as cheap as the merchant ship plan. In a war the merchant ships will have their own problems. Do you want to cause the enemy to just sink everything?
Another type of towed ship can be the CIWS Phalanx and the CIWS Phalanx Jr. set up. This will be a towed/powered semi autonomous ship. Which will have 6-12 phalanx systems on board. They can be positioned so that will be in the typical flight path of missiles, drones and planes.
How about a mix of the two towed ships. 40 VLS missile cells with 6 Phalanx systems on board as well as an ASW capability. All of them networked to the command ship.

There is a reason why I write military things as I do. To cause all of the military nations in the world. To build and build and build. One of my prophecies has become revealed. Russia's submarine drone which will or may contain a 100MT nuclear warhead. Russia is also building a dedicated submarine for this one weapon. It's a deadhand and doomsday device. The men who will work on that submarine will die as the tsunami will overtake them as well. The created tsunami will also spread in a 360 degree pattern. Traveling across the ocean to the opposite side and causing death and suffering to innocent souls. Mr. Putin as a Christian you cannot do this. If you are a Christian. This one weapon alone is sole proof that you are not.
Russia and China, The US military has begun to build an offensive force. This will be a ground up measure. It will take some time. But, once America starts building. Then starts actively selling military assets to Japan, Israel and all of Europe. Russia will eventually face 1,500-3,000 brand new missile cells from the European Navies. Japan alone will need 3,000 missile cells and will begin to build many more Aegis Ashore systems and add even more land based missile cells. These Aegis Ashore systems will be more advanced than what you know about today. Everything in the American complete arsenal will be updated and evolved.
It has already been figured out that Russia is out of MAD as well as other treaties. So there is no point in debate or pointing fingers. The USA has decided to leave all aspects of MAD. This is what is in my own mind. Which means the USA is still very much behind the eight ball in that regard. You Russians, Chinese and Venezuelans watch the USA as they begin to build new OTHR sites. These will even be weaponized. Look for power plants close by. Can you imagine an OTHR site which can focus all of its energy onto one target. Even a target in orbit. The USA will take DEW to a new level. A level in which any of you have not even stolen that data. Even civilian weather RADAR sites will be weaponized. They will be controlled by the military. The military will crank up the power and aim it at threatening targets from multiple locations for long durations.
Both Russia and China can still emerge as humanities leading brothers out to the edge of the solar system. Thus, saving humanity from their own collective suicide. We may not even be allowed/permitted to see their ship. They will save the life that they decide to save and you won't even be aware. Even with all of your modern technology. Can you imagine seeing a ship in orbit which is 50,000+ miles wide and more than seven times in length and you cannot even detect it. It can park itself next to the Earth and not affect it with gravity or any energy transference. Unless they decide to. 50 trillion humans can be inside that thing and it would be crowded like Alaska per square mile. Just don't do that math. I'm guessing for a generalized comparison. China has just has just changed the naval warfare parameters. China has 7,700 container ships. Remember counting missile cells above. So if China can put a variety of GPS and other guidance technologies type on an autonomous or semi autonomous extended long range missile. Then camouflage them as everyday ordinary containers. China has access to every deep water port and even manages many of them or even owns them. Lets do the math.
7,700 X 4 = 30,800 missile cells.
7,700 X 8 = 61,600 missile cells.
7,700 X 16 = 123,200 missile cells.
7,700 X 32 = 246,400 missile cells.
7,700 X 64 = 492,800 missile cells.
7,700 X 128 = 985,600 missile cells.
These are just simple numbers. China would not put a certain number of missile cells with their portable systems on every container ship in the world. Or would China? If China did that. Who would allow weaponized Chinese container ships in their ports? Or would everyone just turn a blind eye away from the weaponized Chinese container ships. Can you imagine the USA deep water Ports having Chinese container ships with one thousand mile range nuclear tipped missile in their deep water ports. Really.
What does this mean and how does it reveal the intentions of China. China has said they are going to defend themselves against threats. Well, in my basic civilian mind the only threats are those pirates. China already has a very modern Navy. China is building war ships faster than any other nation. So who is China preparing for a war with? That is the USA. The USA is the only threat of any substantial size which would pose any valid threat to China especially since most of China's population is now on the coasts as is with every other coastal nation in the world. This must be some big secret. Because, the American people do not hate China nor is war with China even in the minds of any Americans. Because, if it were Walmart would go bankrupt over night. Think about that. The American people love their Americanized Chinese foods. If Americans knew that China was preparing for war with the USA. Every Chinese restaurant would close down. I do believe that China is preparing for war with the USA and then Europe and then Russia and then into the middle east. China is the only nation which can fight man to man with every first world nation on the planet all at once. China must equalize the battlefield. That means to destroy all modern day technologies. Good story. The M270 MLRS should be re-engineered and put back into production with extended ranges. With the threats which are becoming Russia, China, Iran and Venezuela. At least 4,000 of these new units should be built. Not counting the units to be sold to friends world wide. A new variant should also be designed for specific use by Japan in the defense of their waterways. In which the Japanese variant must be able to target ships and be able to join the Japanese RADAR and sensor network in order to share data and to increase the probabilities of every missile launched.
An M270AD Air Defense version can also be created for mass drone attacks. In which an M270Ad would be a slave to all of the RADAR and Sensors. When set in automated mode and a launch is declared. The unit will launch one, some or all Air Defense missiles with fragmentary munitions. Into the direction of the incoming drone cloud. With a variety of guidance options all detonate just prior to contact even if the drone cloud moves or splits up into multiples. A second salvo can also be initiated. If a Chinese fishing vessel is the source of the drone launches. Then the same MLRS or another MLRS with a better weapons package can target the fishing vessel with direct hit missiles or with sub-munitions. Sub-munitions may be the better choice for Japan as those would disable the offending Chinese fishing vessel. The M270AD should also have a type of plug and play universal missile cell system. So that when any kind of different type of missile is installed. The MLRS immediately knows what it is and it's purpose. That information as well as its addresses is transmitted back to the Command and Control Authority.

Short Historical Answer: The battleship became obsolete because of the inability to defend such huge and expensive warships from the new emerging threat of fighter/bombers. So now today, It is thought and known by everyone that the battleship is dead and gone just like amazing warships fitted with sails and many decks of lit fused cannons.
Cold War Era Ships Answer: The vast majority of the naval ships in the world are of cold war design and technology. These now old ships have very limited capabilities to even defend themselves in a world where emerging threats now exceed the number of nine plus. The new emerging and current threats are a variety classes of drones, Russian nuclear propelled nuclear tipped(MIRV’ed)missiles which can fly for ?days?, DEW or Directed Energy Weapons to include LASER, Satellite weapons platforms, computer network warfare, Air Defense, Ballistic Missile Defense, Hyper-sonic Missile Defense and submarine warfare. There is not a single cold war era ship today which can defend itself from all of these threats. This does include the new Ford Class Aircraft Carriers as well as the new and now cancelled Zumwalts. Which is seen as a failure just like the entire mostly weaponless LCS warships of the US Navy. AND… How do you agree to continually build a war ship incapable of having any real offensive or defensive weapons? Really, because if a janitor can see the error of your ways. Really…(Rant over)… Each current class of war ship in use today is at very risk of losing badly and quickly. Badly means worse than sinking. What is worse than sinking? Being captured. I do not think the current generation of Chinese modern warships are capable of defending themselves sufficiently against any enemy which can utilize all of the emerging threats onto a singular target or a single Aircraft Carrier Battle Group.
Displacement and Definition Answers: At the beginning of each new era in military history. The displacement and definitions of each class of warships are defined in actuality by what the actual leader nations are building. While the non leader nations stay within their own old naval comfort zones fending off and/or succumbing to corruptions. In which this seems to be seen in every nation. In the US look at the Zumwalts, LCS, Ford’s, F35. Look for the absence of weapons platforms in the US which are the Frigates and coming Cruisers. The Cruiser news is actually very new. This can also be seen in every military branch like no new MLRS for the ground forces. No real new planes for the Air Force with low percentages of being able to actually go to war. Even the brand new F35 is nearly at 50% available for war. I can go on.
Class designs should begin with your smallest war ships. Like the small Missile boats and Corvettes. Then you do a doubling in effective capability for each larger class of ship. Then each class of ship may have specific mission parameters like submarine warfare and have minimal defense and offensive weapons for air defense. Then no capability for any aspect of Ballistic Missile Defense. Russia has done an awesome job of building multi purpose classes of Corvettes and frigates. But, even those new best in the world classes of ships from Russia will not survive the next modern war. They are still engineered with backwards thinking and being just a little bit better than anyone else. Do not take my comments in regards to the Russian Frigate as something less than what it is. The best in the world without debate.
Just as in the days of sail when warships were known for their decks and counted guns. So to is just now recently in the mindset of Naval Engineering Architects. How many VLS Missile Cells can be fit onto each class of warship and then double it for every larger class. Even the VLS can be misleading as there are many kinds. I would suspect that a new generation of Universal VLS Missile Cells will be created by each nation. A simple plug and play which can accept many different kinds of missiles.
Modern Day Battleship Answer: Streamlined aerodynamic and stealth shapes. Looks almost alien compared to today's stealth looking Corvette mono-hulls. The length of the ship is more than 450 meters. The overall width to be more than 5–7+% of standard military designs. Except for the aft. I like big aft’s and the big to do’s like their Osprey landing pads. All aspects of war-fighting are done from the inside of the ship. Exposed gun systems are manually operated and/or automated and/or controlled by AI. The speed of this ship must equal or exceed the Aircraft Carrier. You cannot build just one. You have to build at least three at the same time. Then you will need at least one for every aircraft carrier. The US has twenty Aircraft Carriers.
1). 1500+ Universal VLS Missiles Cells. These will hold every kind of self identifying missile which self identifies(plug and play) to the combat computer.
2). 20+ Ballistic Missile Tubes with 10 MIRV’ed self guiding nuclear warheads. Located behind the tallest part of the ship.
3). 20+ Ballistic Missile tubes for independently targeting of enemy satellites out past Mid Earth Orbit. Located behind the tallest part of the ship.
4). 3+ dedicated satellites which follow the Battleship in their own triangle in LEO or Low Earth Orbit or Medium Earth Orbit. All controlled by the Battleship.
5). The Battleship will house at least 3 A1B Nuclear Power plants. One dedicated for engines and other mechanical functions. The second dedicated for operations and systems. The third is power backup and expansion. These must be engineered for easy peazy lift out and drop and go.
6). Full war network capability with all of the American Military networks. All data of every kind is seen in as close to real time as possible. Even to the point that every missile shares the data link to improve identification and accuracy of all targets selected. For instance. The Battleship is more than 1500 miles out and doesn’t directly see the offending target. The battleship can launch a missile or a compliment of missile towards the offending target and the available satellites and local RADAR stations will guide the missiles to target by a variety of logical algorithms.
7). Must have an ability to track and defend itself against all enemy satellites from horizon to horizon. Yes, be able to launch a missile a hit a satellite which was seen must is now on the other side of the planet.
8). BMD: Expanded Ballistic Missile shelled Defense and Air Defense shelled network. Which means scaled up and more powerful version of the AN/SPY-6 system. This one system must be expanded to accept multiple bandwidths of sensor and RADAR data and be able to integrate into one single easy to identify GUI.
9). ASW: Anti Submarine Warfare: Bow sensors. Several hull sensors on both sides. Tow-able drag line sensors. Communications arrays below the water line. Helicopter Pad and F35 flight decks. Oh yea Osprey as well. Be able to store the equipment safely. Torpedo launching from either side of the ship.
10). Must be able to launch and recover many hundreds of drones of various types quickly. This advantage of a new emerging threat has not been engineered. Drones will have many missions in which one of is suicide and the giving of itself in last ditch defense of the ship as governed by the surviving Commander or surviving AI. You can see how drones are evolving to participate in every aspect of warfare. Drones are quickly becoming the pawns in this very dangerous game of chess. A pawn can take a queen and fell a king.
11). EMP and DEW offensive and defensive capabilities. This is why all persons must remain inside of the ship. But, what about the rear flight deck? Even the command deck with all of there windows must be able to be properly EM secured against all flavors of DEW/EMP at much increased power outputs which will interact with the surface of the ship. Coatings of all kinds must be applied to the ship which will survive the harsh environments of the oceans and temperatures. All RADAR and sensor apparatuses must have a weapons setting. The weapons settings is to bring about as much EM energy on any specific target whether it be in the air or on the sea. In order to burn up the technology or burn up the human within or both. Even if there is no obvious damage you can degrade the incoming object causing failure to complete mission.
12). A flared aft is gonna give you more flight deck as well as the opportunity to add more screws underwater. The engineering of the screws and drive-lines from the nuclear reactor must achieve a fully loaded speed of 40 knots continuously sustained forever. While dragging a COWA or a little ducky.
13). A COWA is a towed apparatus which contains another 800 Universal VLS Missile Cells. This COWA can also be let loose and under its own AI direction can go closer to the offending target to launch its missile sets via command from the Battleship. This COWA along with other released COWA’s can even create their own picket or a covering of the battleships six.

How much is this thing gonna cost? You should not even ask if you think The Ford’s are beyond expensive. The new modern battleship can be far more capable than some arsenal ship as imagined by the US Navy. They were wrong. It is something more than what China has even imagined and they to are wrong. If you want a war ship then you build a ship for war. Which one of you admirals wants to face my ship with what you have right now? Don’t forget to count your missile cells. What is 1500 plus 800 and those numbers can be higher because some cells have many missiles for different purposes.
