There are better options and opportunities for Dollar General. I have been thinking about this for some time. Especially how DG has $9 Billion in CCAASSHHHH. Of course all of that money is located in the basement of one Dollar General Market store in New Port Richey, Florida.

I do not think this purchase is a wise move for the short term or even the long term. In the medium term. It will work out nicely and then what ever long term plans that DG originally had will become negated. I can explain more on this later. It is all about options and opportunities. While the Family Dollar acquisition seems like a good move. It isn't. There seems to be dishonest secret deals going on. This is just what I have picked up on from all of the news sources. This is just my opinion and gut feeling. Possibly even involving investors who are willing to lose about a half of billion dollars. Give or take a few dollars. Who just gives away that kind of money. That's unheard of. I first thought it was the corporate officers trying to make sweet heart deals for themselves. Maybe they all are now. Do the math on how much they lose. DG bought around 3%. Sell it and walk.

Here is the plan for avoiding family Dollar and Dollar Tree nonsense.

Dollar General

1). Begin to expand the physical size of the Dollar General stores by about 1,000-2,000 SF. In this new space will reside extra warehouse space and floor space for expanded dollar only items. Which to include extra coolers and freezers. For dollar items only. I do think in the DG emerging markets. You should go with 5,000 extra square feet. This would put additional pressure on both Family Dollar and Dollar Tree related stores. They would begin to crumble under their debt loads. Which in the beginning they will stop any re-investments and allow the company to do a K-Mart. I think it was K-Mart. Kmart big changes was to only put p new signs called Big K. Maybe the customers won't notice the roofs falling in.

1A). With your existing stores do add more dollar items as well as dollar coolers and freezers. Close to the registers. Using the "BELL CURVE". Ascertain what are the top selling items in Dollar Tree and Family Dollar and then Assign those items space in your stores by square feet available.

That's really all. That will be enough to put a financial woe on those dollar stores. Find and keep those good people like at that DG Market in New Port Richey, Fl. Sal is alright to.

Dollar General Market

1). Expand the walk-in Cooler, Freezer, Ice Cream with dedicated Dollar item products. Marketing term. (DG Dollar Doors).

2). More of these DG Markets should be stand alone stores.

3). Expand the dry goods with more dollar items.

4). Make substantial investments into regional fuel delivery companies. Yes, Substantially huge.

5). You gotta go with the fuel pumps. Create a two part store system. A quick convenience side of the store. Where fuel is purchase as well as snacks and quick meals. Something like the T/A, Petro Brand of truck stops except DG unique. Get rid of the insanely high mark ups as is typical in convenience stores everywhere. Many people want to get gas and go. Using the "BELL CURVE" once again. Ascertain what are the top 100 items sold in quantity and daily from a typical convenience store.  Then assign enough square footage plus impulse items sales space and weekly sales ad space.

6). Automated car wash. It's a part of the deal.
7). Digital and automated air compressor for free. 
8). Suggestion only. Since the Dollar general name is in green. If you do begin to sell fuels. The roof top of the fuel island should be covered with Solar Panels. Maybe, even the entire roof of the stores.  Call it. "Going Green with Dollar (Gene)ral"

Create a Dollar General store character. Call him "Dollar Gene or Green Gene". He can explain how wonderful Dollar general is and why you should go there. The Dollar general difference. For Instance, The true 34 degree cooler and how it helps the dairy, egg and meat products.
Everyone knows Green Gene and Green Gene is just one of those excited to be there kind of guys, well anywhere. Of course DG Gene seems to always get in the way of moving DG staff. They all gently and kindly call out to Green Gene to move quickly or to physically move a poorly clothed Gene out of the Ice Cream freezer. Green Gene can also be that comedic safety teacher.

 Added on 12 Jan 2015: Merger news:
According to news reporting about this merger and all of the problems associated with it. I want to strongly encourage Dollar General to resend their offer from the negotiating table. while at the same time selling their entire 3%+ stake in Family Dollar stocks immediately. Faster and sooner if possible.
It looks like the share holders have been liquidating assets which is a common practice of any corporation which is about to be sold or merged or bankrupt. Which means the value of Family Dollar is less than what is was when it was valuated. I have not seen any reporting of Family Dollar taking on any new debts. If they have then the Family Dollar corporation has further devalued.

Those cash funds set aside for Family Dollar should be utilized for future logistics when the Panama Canal widening project is completed in 2016+. By purchasing industrial zoned parcels in close proximity to the shipping ports all along the Eastern sea board of the USA and the Shipping ports all along the Gulf of Mexico. By doing so. Will create a logistical savings and thus translated into better competitive pricing with the new Walmart Neighborhood markets which seem to be popping up. Especially, a new one in new Port Richey, Fl.
You will also need to re-consider your expansion into California as shipping, warehousing and other logistics related businesses will diminish greatly. I do believe there will be a migration of logistics related workers/families at all levels out of California. Thus, causing a substantial devaluation of commercial and residential real estate assets. To a lesser degree in Oregon and to even a lesser degree in Washington State. Does this mean Dollar general should leave California? NO. DG should plan for it.

DG should expand their Distribution Centers into Texas and ?Massachusetts? areas. Close to the deep Water ports. DG should no longer use outside trucking firms for anymore store deliveries. Which means DG needs to expand their capabilities into refrigeration/Freezer warehousing capabilities. Container receiving Distribution centers. For all shipping related cargo's. 

?Massachusetts? means DG DC facilities North of New York City Proper. With refrigeration/Freezer as well as Container off loading, sorting, staging, storing. Your new DG DC's should be of that mind set. I know that DG is good about not forcing truck drivers into breaking federal DOT laws. Unlike Walmart, Target and many other grocery store chains. Expanding this ability should be seen by the Fed as a safe and legal positive thing. The promotional marketing of this should be positively seen.

Money is largely an illusion. The importance of any money is basically an agreement of importance in any transaction. You cannot eat or drink money. Money cannot keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Money cannot protect you from extreme weather. But, money can be that useful tool which can exchange for items needed, wanted or selfishly desired.
When monies of any kind is directly tied to precious metals or oil. The quantity of those items becomes a limiting resource when the country grows beyond them. The debt of any country can become a significant handicap in any future growth and development. Which is what is being seen now with heavily debt ridden countries like the USA, Japan.

How to expand your country without any need for debt. A cashless society. When the people trust the government. The value of which will be high. There will be no limit to growth. Except for the availability to natural resources. Other than that expansion will be unlimited.

When all wealth comes from the government and is created out of digital creation. Then is accepted by everyone. The debt of governmental creation ends. The accumulation of natural resources becomes paramount. The recycling of natural resources becomes an extending factor to governmental growth.

Sending resources to other countries will become an exchange rate. Until a common world wide agreed upon cashless system is created where the world controlling body has ultimate authority.

The countries with the greatest debts will become the worlds first cashless societies. No longer being tied to a cash system. Their growth shall become self created without any debt pressures.
How will these new cashless countries pay back their international debts? Possibly a hybrid type of system. Where the cashless society is for the entire human population within that countries borders. Then outside of the borders the typical cash system tied to resources as is done now.  There would have to be exchange rates.
Could this be tied to the next world war? China wants their wealth in which they have earned at near slave wages and given as credit in trust. Only for those nations to become cashless. How are they going to get back what is coming to them? International legal action or Military action and how soon?
Lets say the USA goes cashless and all of the people are just going to love it. There is much hope and optimism surrounding the cashless society. Greater security and everything is just fluffy wonderful.
The USA can massively build up it's military very quickly. Can you say ?19? Aircraft carriers plus all of the other ships and submarines waiting for recycling being updated and upgraded. To be in service very soon. China, Russia, North Korea and other nations will become militarily overwhelmed. To be followed by military buildups from Japan, Australia and Great Britain. Plus others associated with NATO.
The next big military threat in the world will not be from Aircraft carriers. But, from military assets in orbit which can rain down hell fire onto all sea, air and land targets.
With a cashless society. Limited Finances are no longer a problem. The worry of debts burdens is gone. So as long as the people do as they normally do without concern. Everything works.

The empathic introvert may not even know or is even aware that they are even empathic in any way. Thus, the self created fears of being around groups of people become created. The empathic gifts becomes a bipolar curse.

The psychological powers to be have professionally defined every related word. So that when you read all of the definitions. There is only problems within your being. With every description of your own base psychology. There is a pill to help you. Thus, when you take those pills. You begin a psychological roller coaster ride. that you will never get off of. Unless, you commit suicide. Then those psycho doctors. proclaim. Told you they were crazy. It is of my opinion. That every doctor, nurse, counselor who prescribes any mind altering medication to any person who does not have any provable brain defect or injury. Is directly responsible for that patients well being and directly responsible for their suicide. All psychological personnel should be graded on how many patients have committed suicide.  If those personnel obtains a certain level. They lose substantial income and assets. Which is to be given to surviving family members. If they reach a higher level jail, for a long time.

I suppose you have just read the definition of the wiki briefs below. Those are just short summaries of a lot of information to be discovered.
As you can see there really is no difference between shyness and being introverted. Both seem to be assigned negative aspects of a persons psychology such as low self esteem, low self confidence.
I do believe there is a fundamental distinction between being shy and being introverted. I do also believe that an introvert person can become shy and never even know there is a difference between the two.

It is crucially important for the empathic person to be introverted. I do think if you are a genuine empath in the spiritual sense. Then you would have to be introverted to a degree which does not degrade interactions and participation's within society. It seems all of humanities famous artist, writers and musical talents all have had their own places of seclusion. Research that for yourself. They all seemed to have that basement or attic that they hid themselves in. Some lived in Missouri or in the keys of Florida. There are so many others.

For an spiritually or emotionally empathic person to keep and maintain a healthy well being. They do need their down time or quiet time. The empathic person can take in so much information at one time or in the course of the day. That it does take time for their brains to process all of that information. It does seem that the empathic person needs to know the wisdom, knowledge and have understanding in all that that have internally taken in. Even though in this modern day world. Wisdom and understanding doesn't seem all that important. It should be and is to the empath.

The very first thing I often tell the young ones is. It is OK to be an Introvert. But, it isn't OK to be shy. Shyness seems to be centered in fear. Living your life based in fear is not healthy for anyone and will subdue your essential purpose and mission here on this planet. Study the ancient religious texts on who is the god of fear. This is an enemy to you, the empath. You must internalize within yourself. Which aspects of your own psychology is based in your introvertedness and which is based from your own fears. As a young person. This can be very difficult to quantify. Because, They do not typically have enough life experience, Wisdom, Knowledge or understanding. So they do need a teacher. Like an understanding and teaching parent who will lead their child into a spiritual journey of discovery. My use of the word discovery is important. I did not use the phrase spiritual journey. Because, it is up to each person to decide freely for themselves. What and which spiritual journey to be on. If they want to be on any kind of spiritual journey at all.
The next crucial things that a young empath needs to do daily. Is pray and meditate. The most basic definition of prayer down to one word is Prayer is you talking. Meditation is you listening. Contemplation is your introvertedness having healthy control in that moment. There you have it. Prayer, meditation and contemplation.This is very important for the young one to be self led in this area. You cannot and should not force anyone to pray or meditate. You should not cause any person to feel any kind of negative emotion if they do not pray or meditate.
Contemplation time can manifest itself in one of the arts or in some form of inspirational expression.
One of the first things that continual and daily prayer and meditations does teach to the beginner. Is self control and self discipline. Which are essential skills to any empathic person. Being a realized empathic person. This is only the first step in anyone's spiritual develop, growth and evolution.

X-Ray Crash Dream: (Unedited): 02 Jan 2015:

Last night dream vision.

I found myself above a planet which seemed devoid of atmosphere. I knew that great explosions had flung the atmosphere into space. With the smoke gone and the fires extinguished. The planet now looked lifeless as well as had become lifeless. 

I began to look away from the planet and see a dark ship of size. Under some power but not enough to slow down. I knew they were going to crash. I am now behind the ship and not inside. Watching the decent. There is no flame or smoke from re-entry. I see a building which seems to represent some kind of pyramid shape. Crashing into the base of the building was about to happen. Like a bullet which disappears into sand. The ship is deep into the structure. Some how self sealing itself within. Whether it is natural or technological. I do not know. The forward portion of the ship was very damaged and allow the surviving occupants (Children) to escape deep into the building/structure. They survived. For how many generations. Do not know. Do they survive today? Maybe? Are they the same as they were back then? No. They are all very tall a compared to humans today.

I do not know if this was in the distant past or far into the future. I think it was distant past as I was shown just how to gain entry.

From high above I could see inside what appeared to be mountains. There were passageways in every direction. Which I think my view was only two dimensional as opposed to three dimensional. I did not see deep. Just all at once. I could also see the faint outlines of little humanoid beings moving about. From orbit. Everything is small.

I saw a landing of a wheeled vehicle. Which could bore itself into the mountain. The mountain which was not a mountain. The wheeled vehicle could also create 3 air locking doors. The wheeled craft also had it's own radar to look deep into the sand type stone mountain. This wheeled craft seemed huge by rover standards. As a human man from Earth could stand within the tunnel(s). Which tactically may be preferable to those within. That would not be able to easily crawl through the human created tunnel.

Need to create this wheeled vehicle and take it to Mars. With a big gun at the front. Fast shooting one.

On the other hand. This may only be an archeological dig. With working tech or formerly working tech. The ship which was out of control did have a somewhat powered decent. Something was working. It was capable of slowing but not stopping or able to gain orbit.

Well there is a human specific band. So if you wanted to speak directly to every human being. You would communicate across the entire band. Within that entire human band. Is one precise frequency or channel. This is very unique to you and me. If you happen to find someone who nearly matches every quality that you possess. What we call telepathy would occur more frequently than with others. This is not attributed to some kind of psychic power of the force.
